Anju

Cockatiel ~ Normal Gray

🦜 Species: Cockatiel

🎂 Age: 1 year

👫 Sex: F

📏 Size: small

📝 ANJU'S STORY: Anju came from a home environment with a few other birds, but some of them were too aggressive and didn't accept Anju into the flock. Since we needed a companion for one of our cockatiels, Mr. Surprise, who lost his mate, we took in Anju in the hopes she would bond with Mr. Surprise. And she did! They are a very happy pair. Mr. Surprise hyped her up when she was growing out her clipped wings and learning how to fly. Now they fly and perch together in our cage-free cockatiel room. Soon you will get to see them in our new outdoor aviary!

Temperament: Outgoing, brave, inquisitive

🎶 Talks/Sings?: No, females aren't known for singing. She will call for her flock mates and chirp here and there.

🧩 Favorite Activities: Anju loves all things food. If you have it? She's your friend. She will sit on your shoulder or your head, give kisses, and preen your face and ears.

🥜 Favorite Treats: Seeeeeeeeds

🐦 Best Quirk: When she was new to flying, she wasn't that great at sticking landings. Some of her attempts made us laugh out loud -- she was so clumsy! But she was determined to learn. Now she is a great flier and knows how to land with ease.
