📝 Gojo's Story: Gojo and his buddy, Nimbus (a cockatiel), came from a home in Indiana where they were severely neglected. Their feathers were shredded, their cages were filthy, and their diets were abysmal. Their owner tried to surrender them to Pet Smart, where a vet tech took them in, and they eventually made their way to our volunteer, Claudia, who brought them to the sanctuary. Nimbus has since been adopted, but Gojo is still waiting for his forever home. We are working with him day by day, starting on target training to get him used to taking treats from our hands. Gojo's feathers have improved, and he's made a few friends in our Conure Canopy Room.
✨ Temperament: Shy at first, but warms up well
🎶 Talks/Sings?: Gojo makes the typical conure screech, and he mumbles here and there.
🥜 Favorite Treats: Sunflower seeds
💡 Best Fit: Gojo will need a patient home where he can take his time warming up to his new family. He can be fearful of hands at first, but can be handled. He enjoys affection and attention.
🐦 Can Live with Other Birds?: Gojo is good with other birds, but has shown signs of being territorial at times.
